Geography 101 for RATs

OK students, please sit up and pay attention. Your humble Professor will endeavor to go over this lesson once. Arianna Huffington is somehow under the misguided notion that Britian is somehow a part of the USA, or perhaps even North America. She points to the President’s quote from 4 July where he said, “We’re taking the fight to the terrorists abroad so we do not have to face them here at home.” She then points out another quote from the President from 28 June where she says, “there he was again, this time quoting the commander on the ground in Iraq” where he said “We either deal with terrorism and this extremism abroad, or we deal with it when it comes to us.” How can the President say something again six days prior? To say something again would indicate that it was spoken of once more, or a second time. Perhaps she is suffering from theorius of relativitus dislexicus? The President was referring to fighting those who seek to destroy this nation outside of our borders as opposed to inside them. This simple precept is easily lost on 99% of RATs. What is sadly apparent though, is that they don’t or wish not to understand this. How a sovereign nation which we fought for our independence from is synonymous with “here” meaning the USA is strange at best. To paraphrase Heinrich Heine, “Ordinarily she’s insane, but she has lucid moments when she is merely stupid.”
