Lawsuit challenges Dayton’s use of traffic cameras

A lawsuit challenging Dayton’s traffic cameras will be announced this afternoon. The suit targets the red light and speed cameras run by Redflex Traffic Systems. Attorney Michael Allen said he believes the cameras are “more about raising revenues for cash strapped municipalities than improving traffic safety” because drivers don’t have a “fair chance” to defend themselves against citations.

I hope this works. They create accidents rather than prevent them.
