Huber Heights Board of Indoctrination approves November operating levy
The Huber Heights Board of Education approved a much-needed levy for the November ballot Thursday night. The board voted to add a five year 6.95 mil levy. Voters have not approved a levy since 2005.
The district has had to cut over a $1 million worth of expenses, including cuts to staff, busing, extracurricular activities, and raising athletic fees. “We can’t continue on asking our staff or even our kids to continue,” said board president Anita Brock. “We need these basic things, some of them at least brought back.”
If approved, the levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home, $20.27 per month.
